French Folk-Pop from Polar

I’m very excited about today’s feature. Meet Folk-Rock French singer Polar, (born Eric Linder). Born in Ireland, and raised in Switzerland, Polar was on his way to becoming a star sprinter when his older brother lent him a guitar along with some Bob Dylan and Neil Young records and changed the course of his life.

With a style influenced by everyone from Nick Drake and Tim Buckley to Beck, Polar found great musical success in Switzerland his English language albums. In 2006, he teamed up with French singer [Christophe] Miossec for his first French album, Jour Blanc (Miossec wrote most of the songs). Polar’s fifth album, French Songs (his second album in French) was released in 2009.
