Benjamin Biolay is considered the modern Serge Gainsbourg in French music — they share a similar hushed, dispassionate “talk-singing” style, and he often collaborates with singers reminiscent of the ye-ye French female singers of the 60′s. A French male singer I’ve really been enjoying lately is Thomas Pradeau. His catchy songs, vibrant harmonies, soulful Pop, and judicious use of traditional French musical elements make his debut album a modern classic.
